Communication with parents and carers

COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS AND CARERS

We believe our communication with parents throughout the year is invaluable.

We will have parent ‘chats’ throughout the year giving you the opportunity to talk about your child’s progress.  You can also talk to a member of staff at any time if you have any queries or concerns and if necessary we will make an appointment for you.

Throughout the year we will have educational visits.  We value parent support on these visits.  This supports the children’s learning and helps staff to form relationships with you.

Throughout the year we have 3 ‘stay and play’ sessions where you will have the opportunity to come and spend the session with your child.

If any parents have any particular skills, hobbies or interests, we could possibly use your support in nursery.  Please see a member of staff if you feel you can help.

We collect regular assessments on your child throughout the year however you could also help to complete your child’s learning journey file with activities they have completed at home with you.

At the end of the year your child will receive a small written report of their progress.

We look forward to working in partnership with you.
